Biography

Born in Chibougamau, Québec, David Grenon started his musical studies in 1999 (Campus Notre Dame de Foy, Université du Québec à Montréal and Université de Montréal) in Music Performance (voice) and in Music Education. Deeply passioned about Vocal Art, he has always researched and stayed up to date with all new discoveries about the voice with his colleagues and voice health professionals (ENT, Speech Therapists). He has attended such training as Joe Estill's at ”Estill Voice Training International” and attended the 2013 World Voice Symposium in Boston, in order to increase and share his knowledge in this matter.

An artist who sets himself apart by his versatility, David Grenon is active on many different professional stages, from the pop-rock scene to the classical world, as a soloist and as part of different groups and productions. He has a vast conducting experience, having been at the bar of many concert bands, choirs as well as all levels of vocal and musical ensembles, including vocal quartets and Barbershops.

Since 2008, he has been employed as the First Full Time Vocalist (Reg Force) within the Canadian Armed Forces. Being part of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Band, he has travelled everywhere in Canada and abroad (Europe, USA, South Korea, Carabeans, etc), performing all styles from Pop-Rock RnB, Motown, Jazz, Country, Trad, Folk to Lyrical and Classical Music. In 2012, he put together a Team from the RCAF Band to participate to Global TV Show "Canada Sings", where they won and gave $25,000 to Soldier On Fund from Support Our Troops.

In 2011, he started the Franco-Manitoban Musical Ensemble "Les Francossins". He also records Vocals, Voice-Overs and performs as an actor for many different production companies. He is often used as a mentor to help different musical ensembles.

David teaches Vocal Technique since 2002 in private (voice lessons) as well as for groups (Choirs, Vocal Technique Seminars, Actors, MC and Voice Professional Training and Rehab). He now works on writing his own material and producing an album!
